• HOW DOES THE DESIGN PROCESS WORK? 

After filling out the brief questionnaire, we will set up a time to discuss the specifics of your invitation suite including printing styles, design options, design inspiration, and wedding aesthetic. We can either meet in person if you are local to Northern Michigan, or we can chat over the phone or by email. During this conversation we will discuss everything from your wedding aesthetic to your engagement story. This will help us get an idea of what you're looking for in your custom design and what is most important to you.

At this point we will put together a custom quote for your invitation suite. If you would like to move forward with the order, we just require a 50% deposit before getting started on your custom design. After the deposit is paid we will reserve a time slot on our design calendar for your custom design.  We will devote that entire design slot to creating your custom pieces. This includes creating original artwork, selecting custom paper choices, choosing the perfect fonts and wording, and designing a custom layout. During that time we will also create a custom client page for you where you can view your paper selections, design inspiration, design discussion notes and design proofs as they become available.

We will then be in touch with a set of digital proofs of your custom design. At this point you'll have the chance to tell us if there are any changes that need to be made (or you can tell us that it's perfect, too!) Once the proofs are approved and the final balance is paid, the designs are sent to the printer where it takes roughly two-four weeks (depending on the printing method of your suite) to be printed and packaged before being shipped to you (yay!). 

  • HOW MUCH DOES YOUR AVERAGE INVITATION SUITE COST? 

Our invitation pricing varies greatly depending on the printing method that is used, the number of pieces included in your suite (such as adding a map, website insert card, reception card, etc.), and how many invitations you'd like to order (the price per invitation goes down the more invitations that are ordered).   • IS GUEST ADDRESSING INCLUDED? 

Guest addressing is a separate charge, but we will happily address your envelopes for you with our beautiful hand-lettering, or even hand-painted watercolors. Just let us know if you'd like us to add hand-lettered or hand-painted guest addressing to your quote. 

  • HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO DESIGN MY INVITATIONS FROM START TO FINISH? 

Once the deposit is paid, we will reserve a time slot on our design calendar for your custom design.  We will work with you on selecting a design slot that works best for the timing constraints of the project, and we will then devote that entire design slot to creating your custom pieces.. Once the proofs are approved and the final balance is paid, it normally takes roughly two-four weeks to be printed and packaged before being sent your way. 

  • WILL MY SUITES ARRIVE ASSEMBLED AND STAMPED?

We do not include stuffing and stamping of the invitation envelopes for our brides. Each piece of your suite (invitation, RSVP card, etc.) is packaged individually and does not include stamps, but we will include one assembled suite as an example of how to stuff your envelopes. If you'd like us to assemble, stuff, and stamp your invitation suites, just let us know and we will add this to your estimate.
