Summer is almost here...I think...maybe? So we wanted to share Mark and Christy's sweet-as-pie summer wedding with you all. I had so much fun creating a custom suite and day of stationery for this adorable couple. The suite included loose, hand painted watercolor florals, a dreamy watercolor wash and a custom crest. It all paired so well with the airy, summery feel of this gorgeous wedding.
One of my favorite details of this suite were the dainty hand painted florals in a soft, muted color scheme. These loose florals carried over to the program as well and just really solidified the airy and romantic feel of a summer wedding in Northern Michigan. Custom place cards were displayed for guests in small textured birch branches and featured a blue watercolor wash and silver pointed pen calligraphy. There were so many thoughtful and creative design choices for this wedding and it was so fun to be a part of the collaboration. The table linens were one of my favorite details of the day!
We always LOVE when clients ask for a little extra Sable & Gray day of details like custom, hand lettered chalk boards! It's such a fun way to keep guests informed while also keeping everything visually appealing and on trend. Who doesn't love a good chalk board?! Mark and Christy included numerous hand lettered chalk boards throughout the reception and we might be biased, but it just added so much personality.
Cherry Basket Farms was the most whimsical backdrop for this summery day, it all fit together perfectly. It was truly a magical day for this sweet couple, and we are so lucky we got to be a part of it. Cheers to many years Mark and Christy!
