Fei-Fei and Evan's Dreamy Pippin Hill Wedding

Ever since we finished working on Fei Fei and Evan’s custom suite and day-of pieces last year, we have been anxiously waiting to show the world. We gave sneak peek’s and glimpses, showing our progress as we went along, until at last! Here we are!

One of the biggest reasons that we had to wait to showcase these gorgeous photos was because the wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty this past February! Ah!
We were beyond thrilled to not only be a part of this whole dreamy wedding, but completely honored to have our work featured on such a respected online publication.

So don’t mind us if we overly gush over the course of this post. This whole project, from the save-the-dates to the place cards, to working with such a wonderfully kind bride like Fei Fei, was simply over-the-top amazing.

For Fei Fei’s wedding suite, we loved how she didn’t shy away from wanting to include lots of whimsical elements and personality. We referenced photos of lush, cascading bouquets and bright blooms when painting the different watercolor floral pieces, adding drama and “pop” to the soft color palette. In turn, each piece in the suite comes alive and stands on it’s own even when taken out of the whole.

To compliment the different shades of pink throughout the suite, the invitation featured beautiful blush edge painting on double thick paper. The final touch; a thin piece of twine wrapped around the entire suite and bound with a white wax seal featuring their custom monogram. Dreamy dreamy dreamy.

A prominent, yet soft, silk ribbon tied around the custom programs is the right amount of extra detail to make them really pop.

We almost can’t believe how beautiful the scenery at Pippin Hill Farm really is. I mean, is this even real or is it just a prop set from the Secret Garden?

Every day-of piece that we designed for Fei Fei and Evan was thoughtful and charming, with many pieces featuring a combination of their custom crest along with original painted pieces.
Their custom z-fold welcome booklet in particular included both an itinerary of the weekend (with coordinating illustrations), as well as a romantic, illustrated timeline of their relationship printed on the reverse side. The booklet was then tucked into an elegant box of goodies featuring Fei Fei and Evan’s favorite treats alongside some North Carolina staples. For both local and out of town guests, this booklet was not only helpfully informative, but also a thoughtfully unique keepsake from such a beautiful weekend.

How enchanting is this floral arbor expertly designed by Southern Blooms? Be still our hearts.

We will always treasure working with Fei Fei on her magical invitation suite and day-of goods, and can only hope that her and Evan’s first year of marriage has been every bit as blissful as their wedding day.

Fieldguide Farmhouse Styled Shoot

When we were asked last year to participate in the Fieldguide Farmhouse summer styled shoot, one glance at the participating vendors was all it took to say OF COURSE! How could we miss an opportunity to be surrounded with and working alongside by so many amazing creatives?

We were asked to contribute an original wedding suite and day-of stationery for the feature, to compliment the stunning backdrop that is the Fieldguide Farmhouse. As these photos will tell you, we were left with more than enough inspiration to draw from.

There is just something about the combination of using delicate watercolor florals in an otherwise moody and rustic styled shoot that is so captivating. It helps of course, that the incredible Hallie Kohler photographed this shoot with an amazing sense of depth and moodiness that really tied every element together. I mean, look how stunning and dramatic all the colors are in these photos.

To lend to the homey and organic aesthetic of the shoot, we hand deckled the edges and incorporated subtle layers of vellum throughout the invitation suite and day-of pieces. These details, in contrast with the light watercolors, makes the stationery feel like a vintage keepsake.

One of our favorite colors throughout the shoot was the use of navy as a contrast with punchy coral, blush and golds. The table settings in particular, with the dramatic candlesticks and dinner plates with their gorgeous mix of texture and color, are just… *kisses the air like an Italian chef .

After pouring over these photos all afternoon, we’re left with such an immense appreciation for all of the people who pulled together to make such a beautiful feature happen. Each piece seemed to work in total harmony, creating one stunning vision worthy of any real life wedding day.
