There is just something about a soft lavender color palette that evokes so many nostalgic memories and feelings. With such familiar, welcoming, and organic vibes it’s hard to not fall in love with.
When putting together the designs for Erica and Steven’s Custom suite, we focused on bringing those senses and feelings to the forefront, mixing whimsical greenery and florals with multi-toned watercolor calligraphy.
In addition to working on Erica and Steven’s invitations, we had a ton of fun putting together some really unique and personality-filled day-of pieces. One of our favorite’s were the acrylic escort signs that we hand painted with table numbers and guest names. The signs were then hung from beautiful satin ribbon against a backdrop full of lush greenery and florals.
Another favorite were the custom favor tags featuring a cute little watercolor illustration and attached to boxes of yummy Peace, Love & Little Donuts. I mean come on, it’s almost too adorable.
We are completely doting over how beautiful all the different shades of lavender, lilac and natural blush flow throughout this wedding. Even the ribbons binding the bridesmaid’s bouquets look stunning, softly contrasting the texture of the florals and color of their dresses.
Everything about Erica and Steven’s wedding exemplifies that you don’t have to go over the top to make a big impression. Soft colors can set the tone, petite floral arrangements can be impactful, quiet ideas can result in the biggest wow factors, and there is a lot of dreamy power in purple.
